Here's your chance to treat your special someone, co-worker, or family member  to a one of a kind Valentine's treat. This is a win - win for everyone. Join in and Share the Love!

Here's what you can expect.....all delivered to your significant other on February 14th.

    and

    • a singing "telegram" from the milkman and some members of Navy Blue.  A local band providing entertainment for corporate  gatherings, weddings, and other social functions.

We are all in this to raise funds for charity, get some PR for ourselves, and hopefully bring some smiles to folks on Valentine's Day!

So in exchange for all this we are asking that you make a $100 donation to one of our suggested charities

    1. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
    2. The Dana Goebel Family. Dana and her husband have 5 children. She has been fighting breast cancer since last year. Your donation will help relieve some of the financial burden that her and her family are facing. We all know someone that has or is suffering from some form of cancer. It's a terrible thing that will change your perspective of life forever. I know, I've been there.

Thank you for considering to support one of these worthy charities!

To reserve your spot on February 14th, call today 717-283-4060

It's first come first serve.* So don't delay!

*obviously we are limited as to how far we can travel. Reading, Morgantown, Elverson are all local for us. Other surrounding towns may also be considered.

Special thanks to PMD Design for branding and making our presentation pretty!

  • 2011 Recap

I did a Christmas post last year, and a bit about our New Year's trip...but it seems I never got around to writing anything this year as of yet. Not that life around here is boring, it's anything but that. To kick it off, in the fall of 2011, Karen and I went through a series of classes to become foster parents with the local Children and Youth Services Agency. Then last Feburary 2011, we welcomed a little guy into our home. He was 10 months old at the time. Since then we all have grown to love him and it's hard to imagine life without him. As things stand now, we are actively pursuing adoption and hope that by spring it will be finalized.

Last year at Christmas I handed out a family photo for all our home delivery customers. Until the little guy is officially ours, I guess we'll just be sharing famiy pictures with family. So that brings our total to three boys, ages one, three and five!

Also, this was the year I needed to start wearing glasses. All the smart people wear glasses, right? Feeling old, but ...I can see clearly now the rain is ........!

Another big thing for us was the sale of our livestock transport business, Mast Cattle Hauling. I have been operating the business since 2000 and it has been our "cash cow' you mght say. When we began Doorstep Dairy back in 2010, managing both business' was doable. But as demand has increased for home delivery, I've found myself being spread quite thin. So last summer (2011) we began planning for some changes. January 9th, 2012 was my last official day as a professional bull hauler.  I'm excited to see what 2012 has for us. It will be necessary for us to increase delivery to homes in our current routes and add an addtional day also. I don't know, some people will probably say I'm crazy, but...they said that about John Lennon too, right?

In the spring of 2011 we began offering Fruit, Flower, and Veggie Shares.

The boys love to help gather items up and make deliveries.

Halloween had it in for the milk man!

Well, that's all the big news from here. Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and support!  We look forward to serving you in the future!
