Frequently Asked Questions

What areas does Doorstep Dairy deliver to?

Our initial area of delivery will include parts of Morgantown and Elverson. As we expand our delivery service, we will be able to cover more areas. If you do not live in one of the areas we currently deliver to, please complete the delivery application and we will contact you when we begin delivery to your area.

Does Doorstep Dairy guarantee freshness?

Absolutely. Doorstep Dairy assures that our quality products stay fresh from our door to yours in our refrigerated delivery truck.

Who do I contact if there is a problem or concern about a product?

Please contact Doorstep Dairy at daryl@doorstepdairy.com or call 717-283-4060 if you have any questions or concerns regarding products.

Is there a deposit on glass bottled milk?

We deliver fresh, local milk straight from Yoder's Country Market. This delicious milk tastes noticeably better from a glass bottle, and the bottles are reusable. Glass bottles help reduce unnecessary plastic and paper waste. There is a $1.00 deposit for a quart bottle and a $2.00 deposit for a half gallon bottle. You will receive credit on your monthly bill for all returned bottles  If you break a bottle, decide to keep it, or give it away as a gift, you simply will not receive credit for that bottle.

Does Doorstep Dairy have milk in plastic?

Yes, we offer milk in plastic half gallons and gallons. The bottles are number 2 plastic and can be recycled.

What is the cost for home delivery service?

Doorstep Dairy charges $4.00 per delivery.

How often is my delivery?

We make deliveries once a week. We will dedicate a specific day for delivery in your area so you always know when your delivery is coming.  Generally, deliveries are made between 12 midnight and 8:00 AM.

What if I am not home when my products are delivered?

Doorstep Dairy offers an attractive, vintage style milk box to keep your products fresh and cold. These boxes are availble for purchase in the Doorstep Dairy online store. Each customer is responsible to place either a Doorstep Dairy milk box or other ice box on their porch on the morning of delivery to keep your products cold.

What if I forget to put out my milk box?

If no milk box is on the porch at the time of delivery, we will provide you with a temporary box. We will then try to contact you to be sure you remember to take your items inside.

What will happen when I go on vacation?

You can cancel your order for that week by logging in and filling out this "hold delivery" form. We will delete your standing order for that week.

Do I need to enter my address and credit card information each time I order?

No. Once you have an account set up with Doorstep Dairy, we will bill the information on file. You may cancel anytime.

When will my credit/debit card be billed for my purchases?.

The card you have on file with us will be charged sometime between the 1st and the 5th of each month for the previous month's deliveries.  Here you can see a list of your past orders.

What credit/debit cards does Doorstep Dairy accept?

For all orders we accept any of the following: Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Mastercard Debit, Mastercard Credit and Discover.

If I am paying by cash or check, when do I pay?

If you are a cash or check pay customer you will be billed once a month. Following your last delivery of the month, you will recieve a bill via e-mail for the total monthly deliveries. Payments must be received before the 15th of the month. You can place your payment in your milkbox to be picked up or mail your check (do not mail cash) to Doorstep Dairy at PO Box 297 Terre Hill, PA. 17581.

I think I missed a payment. What happens now?

If you are a check or cash pay customer and missed a payment, you will need to contact a Doorstep Dairy representative at 717-283-4060.

If paying by credit/debit card and an initial payment was refused or failed, we will send you an e-mail to notify you. You will need to supply us with a valid credit/debit card. If after the second attempt at payment we are still unable to receive funds, your account will be suspended.
